Marvel Studios used Disney's D23 event in Anaheim to announce several cast members for its forthcoming 'X-Men' reboot. Adam Driver was revealed as Mister Sinister, and Inde Navarrette was announced as Rogue.
Driver appeared by video for the announcement and joked about being linked to different 'X-Men' roles before confirming the villain Nathaniel Essex, also known as Mister Sinister. The film's release is set for May 2028.
The studio also confirmed other cast members, including Christopher Abbott as Professor Charles Xavier, Maya Boyd as Storm, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, Kit Connor as Scott 'Cyclops' Summers, and Sadie Sink as Jean Grey.
Marvel said the film is being directed by Jake Schreier. The 'X-Men' characters are being brought into the Marvel Cinematic Universe following Disney's acquisition of Fox's film studio in 2019.
