Adam Driver is set to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Mister Sinister in the studio’s forthcoming "X-Men" reboot, and Inde Navarrette will play Rogue. The casting news was announced Friday night at Disney’s D23 event by Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige.
Feige also confirmed additional roles in the film. Christopher Abbott will portray Professor Charles Xavier, and Maya Boyd will play Storm. Earlier cast announcements included Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, Kit Connor as Scott "Cyclops" Summers, and Sadie Sink as Jean Grey.
Driver appeared by video during the presentation and joked about the role before identifying Mister Sinister as the part he will play. The film is being directed by Jake Schreier and is scheduled for release in May 2028.
The reboot follows Disney’s 2019 acquisition of Fox’s film studio, which made an X-Men project in the Marvel franchise possible.
