Analyst: Stablecoin total market cap shrinks by nearly $15 billion since May, market liquidity continues to drain, Bitcoin price recovery hindered

- The total stablecoin market cap has decreased by nearly $15 billion since May, dropping from approximately $280 billion to $266 billion.
- From last October until this May, the stablecoin market cap remained stable with no liquidity inflow.
- Despite Bitcoin prices stabilizing, demand for stablecoins has not recovered, hindering a Bitcoin price rebound.
- The decline in stablecoin market cap indicates that liquidity in the crypto market is draining away.
PANews reported on August 10 that CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost highlighted a significant reduction in the total stablecoin market cap. Since May, the market cap has decreased by nearly $15 billion, falling from around $280 billion to $266 billion.
The analyst noted that from last October until this May, the market cap remained stagnant, indicating a lack of liquidity inflow or insufficient liquidity in the market.
Currently, even though Bitcoin prices have stabilized, the demand for stablecoins has not seen a recovery. This ongoing weakness is hindering a potential rebound in Bitcoin prices.
Furthermore, the decline in the stablecoin market cap suggests that liquidity in the overall crypto market is continuing to drain away.
