PANews reported on August 15 that Ron Baron, the founder of Baron Capital, stated that SpaceX could be valued between $20 trillion and $40 trillion over the next 10 to 15 years. This upper target is close to the combined market capitalization of all U.S.-listed companies today.
Baron expects that Starlink's revenue, currently between $15 billion and $17 billion, could grow to about $1 trillion over the next decade, potentially valuing the business at around $14 trillion.
Additionally, he is optimistic about SpaceX's plans to deploy AI data centers in orbit, arguing that these centers could utilize continuous solar energy and low temperatures to reduce energy and cooling costs compared to ground-based data centers.
In the launch sector, Baron anticipates that Starship will drive down the per-kilogram launch costs significantly, expanding SpaceX's advantages in the commercial space industry.
Baron Capital has invested approximately $2 billion in SpaceX through 27 private transactions, and as of June 2026, that investment was worth about $25 billion, representing over one-third of the firm's total assets under management, which are around $70 billion.
