Coinsbuy-associated wallet hacked, over $7.9 million stolen

On August 10, PANews reported that wallets linked to Coinsbuy were compromised, resulting in a theft of over $7.9 million on the Ethereum and TRON networks. The attacker subsequently laundered the stolen funds into Monero (XMR) through various exchanges.
Coinsbuy announced that, with the assistance of ChangeNOW, they managed to successfully freeze stolen funds amounting to six figures. This action was taken to mitigate the impact of the hack.
In response to the security breach, Coinsbuy temporarily suspended its deposit and withdrawal services to protect users. These services have since been restored following the incident.
