According to data from Paymentscan reported by CoinDesk, crypto card spending reached $1.04 billion in July 2026, marking a threefold increase compared to the previous year. The average payment amount also saw a rise, increasing from $59 to $86.
Among the more than 10 million transactions recorded, approximately 70% were made using U.S. dollar stablecoins. Specifically, USDC accounted for 50.8% of these transactions, while USDT made up 20.3%.
The transaction volume was significantly supported by RedotPay, EtherFi, and KAST, which together contributed about 77% of the total. Visa has indicated that there are currently more than 160 stablecoin-linked card programs available globally.
In emerging markets like Latin America, stablecoin spending is primarily focused on everyday scenarios such as purchasing fresh groceries, dining, transportation, and subscription services through products like Oobit and Binance.
