PANews reported that Hong Kong TVB (Television Broadcasts Limited) has announced its entry into the AI computing power market through a joint venture with Triton Square Limited, an affiliate of Gaw Capital Partners.
The joint venture aims to provide advanced computing power services for AI-related applications in Hong Kong, with the first phase targeting a computing power scale of approximately 10,000 PetaFLOPS, expected to begin operations in the fourth quarter of 2027.
The data center will be constructed on TVB's corporate campus at the Tseung Kwan O Industrial Estate, where it will develop AI computing facilities and offer services on a subscription model to both external clients and within the group.
Gaw Capital Partners is set to invest up to HK$2 billion in equity into the joint venture, alongside project bank financing and resources from TVB to support the construction.
