Lebanon’s Health Ministry said Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon killed at least 11 people on Saturday. The state news agency said one strike hit a home on the edge of Ansar, while another struck Deir al-Zahrani.
Officials said the Ansar strike killed seven people, including three children, and wounded two. The Deir al-Zahrani strike killed four people and wounded 17.
The report said the attacks were the deadliest since a fragile truce between Israel and Hezbollah took effect on June 20. It also noted that the strikes came amid a framework agreement announced on June 26 covering Israeli withdrawal from southern Lebanon and Hezbollah’s disarmament.
