Journey is heading into the last leg of a farewell tour that is being presented as possibly the band's final run together. The tour opens its concluding stretch in Los Angeles in September and is set to end in San Francisco in November.
Neal Schon said the San Francisco finale should be especially emotional because it is the city where Journey began. He said he expects the audience there to be enthusiastic and described the homecoming as meaningful.
The tour schedule includes stops in cities such as Phoenix, Seattle, Chicago, Atlanta, Nashville, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Detroit, Boston, Cleveland, Denver and Las Vegas. The final show will bring the band's total to more than 100 concerts this year.
Schon said the performances are designed to go beyond the expected hits. Along with songs such as "Faithfully" and "Don't Stop Believin'," the set list also includes deeper cuts from across the band's catalog.
