PANews reported that MetaMask has announced the launch of the 'Agent Wallet', a self-custodial AI wallet designed for crypto traders and developers. This wallet enables AI agents to autonomously execute on-chain transactions within the permissions set by users, thereby enhancing the AI-driven crypto trading infrastructure.
The Agent Wallet allows users to set transaction limits, specify which protocols the AI can access, and adjust risk parameters. It features two operational modes: 'Guard Mode', which is more protective, and 'Beast Mode', which is highly automated.
Additionally, the wallet supports various AI tools, including Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenClaw, Hermes, and OpenCode. It is also compatible with Hyperliquid and blockchain networks based on the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM).
Notably, the wallet supports gas abstraction, meaning users do not need to hold the native token of the blockchain to pay transaction fees; AI agents can use the traded assets directly to cover gas costs.
