The ducks floated along the river for about 15 minutes before a winner was determined. Becky Cavanagh, the Ducky Derby ambassador and a 13-year Special Olympics athlete, held up the winning duck to cheers from the crowd.
The event included a festival where participants engaged in activities such as taking pictures with inflatable ducks and writing on a chalkboard. Sponsorships for the ducks cost $10 for a single duck and $30 for a pack of six.
