On the regulatory front, the U.S. Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) is seeking opinions on the cash-equivalent accounting treatment of digital assets such as stablecoins. Additionally, the UK government plans to empower the Bank of England to promote digital currency and payment innovations, while Japan is considering relaxing restrictions on large-value stablecoin payments.
