Sony projected that ‘Spider-Man’ would net an estimated $355 million in its first weekend, just missing the 2019 record, but a stronger than expected Sunday pushed it ahead.
Tom Rothman, chairman and CEO of Sony Pictures Motion Picture Group, expressed pride in the achievement, noting that records are meant to be broken.
