According to The Defiant, Geoff Kendrick, Standard Chartered's global head of digital asset research, stated that the $100 end-2030 price target set for UNI in June may be too low. He noted that Uniswap is currently rapidly burning tokens using fees earned on Robinhood Chain.
Data from DefiLlama shows that the Uniswap protocol's average daily revenue from July 27 to August 12 was $244,222, an increase from an average of $99,770 over the previous 17 days. Annualized at current levels, this amounts to approximately $89.1 million, all of which is used to buy back and burn UNI.
Over the past 7 days, Robinhood Chain contributed about $925,100 in protocol revenue to Uniswap, which accounted for approximately 60% of total revenue during the same period. Kendrick mentioned that at UNI's current price, the annualized burn amount represents about 4% of the circulating supply, but he cautioned that this burn rate may be difficult to sustain over the long term.
