Today’s Students Tomorrow’s Teachers (TSTT) announced that 10 TSTT students from Peekskill City School District participated in Pace University’s Camp CryptoBot, held from July 27 to 31 on the University’s Pleasantville Campus.
The immersive five-day summer program introduced students to the exciting world of cybersecurity, artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, coding, cryptography, and other emerging technologies while encouraging innovation, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving.
Camp CryptoBot is led by Dr. Pauline Mosley, Professor of Computer Science at Pace University’s Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems. Under her leadership, students engaged in hands-on activities that challenged them to think critically and develop technical skills.
One of the highlights of the camp was students’ interaction with Pepper the Robot, which demonstrated how robotics and artificial intelligence are transforming education and everyday life. Dr. Bettye H. Perkins, Founder and CEO of TSTT, served as a guest speaker, emphasizing the essential nature of STEM education for future educators.
The camp experience reflects TSTT’s commitment to preparing students for success in college and careers by providing enriching educational experiences beyond the traditional classroom.
