Today’s Students Tomorrow’s Teachers Students Explore Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Cybersecurity at Pace University’s Camp CryptoBot

Today’s Students Tomorrow’s Teachers (TSTT) said 10 of its students from the Peekskill City School District attended Pace University’s Camp CryptoBot, held July 27-31 on the university’s Pleasantville Campus. The five-day summer program focused on cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, robotics, coding, cryptography, and related technologies.
The camp was led by Dr. Pauline Mosley, a professor of computer science at Pace University’s Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems and director of the Seidenberg Creative Labs. Students took part in hands-on activities designed to build technical skills and encourage problem-solving, creativity, and collaboration.
One of the program’s featured experiences was an interaction with Pepper the Robot, Pace University’s humanoid social robot. Pace professor Lisa Ellrodt also demonstrated how robotics and AI are being used in education, healthcare, business, and daily life.
TSTT founder and CEO Dr. Bettye H. Perkins spoke at the camp and urged students to value STEM education and consider how technology can support teaching and learning. The program ended with a closing ceremony for students and parents, and TSTT thanked Pace University and the camp staff for the opportunity.
