According to official data, in the seven days ending August 6, Circle issued approximately 6.3 billion USDC and redeemed approximately 6.4 billion USDC. This resulted in a decrease of about 100 million coins in circulating supply.
As of now, the total USDC in circulation stands at 71.8 billion coins. Circle's reserves are approximately 72 billion dollars, which includes various financial instruments.
The reserves consist of about 51.8 billion dollars in overnight reverse repurchase agreements with U.S. Treasury securities, approximately 9 billion dollars in U.S. Treasury securities with maturities under 3 months, about 10 billion dollars in deposits at systemically important institutions, and approximately 1.2 billion dollars in deposits at other banks.
