According to official data, in the seven days ending August 6, Circle issued approximately 6.3 billion USDC and redeemed approximately 6.4 billion USDC. As a result, the circulating supply of USDC decreased by about 100 million coins.
Currently, the total USDC in circulation stands at 71.8 billion coins. Circle's reserves are reported to be approximately 72 billion dollars.
These reserves include about 51.8 billion dollars in overnight reverse repurchase agreements with U.S. Treasury securities, approximately 9 billion dollars in U.S. Treasury securities with maturities under 3 months, about 10 billion dollars in deposits at systemically important institutions, and approximately 1.2 billion dollars in deposits at other banks.
