Conversation with Blockchain Capital Partner: The next bull market may be just around the corner

Blockchain Capital partners Aleks Larsen and Spencer Bogart recently appeared on the Bankless podcast to discuss the inevitable shift of the crypto market from infrastructure to the application layer. They pointed out that the widespread adoption of stablecoins has already accumulated enormous liquidity for on-chain finance and driven revenue growth for lending and trading protocols.

Larsen noted that despite the current 'token bear market', there are positive catalysts such as the Genius Act and the Clarity Act, which are establishing rules and allowing traditional institutions to enter the blockchain space on a large scale. He emphasized that some applications have gained mainstream traction, such as prediction markets and stablecoins, which have continued to grow even during the downturn.

Both partners compared the development trajectory of the crypto industry to that of the internet, suggesting that the industry is currently in a phase similar to the broadband transition of the early 2000s. They believe that once applications like stablecoins and prediction markets fully penetrate the market, the crypto industry will experience significant growth.
