Driver appeared by video and joked with the audience about joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, briefly naming Magneto before correcting himself and identifying the character as Mister Sinister. Marvel said the cast members were seeing one another backstage for the first time.
The reboot is scheduled for release in May 2028. Jake Schreier is directing the film, which comes after Disney's 2019 acquisition of Fox's film studio made the X-Men characters available to Marvel Studios.
